Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his initial trophy for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has endured a torrid season, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in particular - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
It is the player's initial championship after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface since that period of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has secured twenty-one championships at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, comprising in that event previously this season.
The player's counter-punching play style and regular reactions on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his ability to play at the top level was over.
But the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play positively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky opponent, securing four of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial ATP Tour title, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet rescued four early-game break points in a close third set before the champion won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a point at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
